Abstract
The vapour pressure of CoBr2 and NiBr2 were measured by the torsion effusion and Knudsen effusion methods. From second- and third-law treatment of the results the standard sublimation enthalpies of both dibromides. ΔsubHo(298) = 216 ± 1 and 226 − 1 kJ mol1 for CoBr2 and NiBr2, were derived.
