Abstract

Vapor−liquid equilibria, (VLE), excess molar enthalpies, , and excess molar volumes, , of dimethyl carbonate + 1,2-epoxybutane have been determined at 288.15, 298.15, and 313.15 K. The VLE data, obtained by using an all-glass dynamic recirculating still, were tested for thermodynamic consistency and correlated by the Wilson equation. and values were determined by means of an LKB flow microcalorimeter and an Anton Paar vibrating tube density meter, respectively. All excess properties are positive, with a negligible temperature dependence (maxima values of or are 295 J·mol-1 and 0.17 cm3·mol-1). and values have been correlated by the Redlich−Kister equation, and smooth representations are presented.
