Abstract
Crystal growth of ZnO has been carried out by chemical vapor transport in a closed tube using HgCl2 as a transport agent together with additional Zn, Al or In metal. Variation of the shape and the coloring of crystals grown has been observed, and their luminescence and electrical resistivity have been measured.
