Abstract
This article presents new vapor pressure, molar volume and total pressure data for the butadiene-1,3-acetonitrile binary over the temperature range 300–335 K. Uncertainty in pressure measurements is 0.1 kPa. Molar volume uncertainties are 3×10 −5 1 gmol −1. Temperature and composition uncertainties are 0.04 K and 0.004 mole fraction respectively. The data were analyzed using both solution model and equation of state approaches. The solution model representation is superior to that using DDLC mixing rules coupled with an equation of state.
