Abstract

3,3,3-Trifluoropropene (R1243zf) is an environmentally friendly olefin refrigerant. However, the phase behavior of R1243zf with lubricant oil is not yet available. In this work, the isochoric saturation method was used to measure the vapor-liquid equilibrium (VLE) of R1243zf with two commercial mineral oils (3GS and 4GS) and a POE lubricant (RL68H) at temperatures between 283.15 K and 343.15 K. The VLE data of R1243zf with three lubricants were correlated using the NRTL model. The absolute average relative deviations between the experimental and calculated data for R1243zf/3GS, R1243zf/4GS and R1243zf/RL68H are 1.01%, 1.09% and 0.97%, respectively. In addition, the molar fraction for R1243zf in the three lubricants at specific temperature and pressure follows: RL68H>3GS>4GS.
