Abstract

Peter Eliot Weiss is one of the West Coast’s best-kept secrets. A talented actor and theatre artist, in Vancouver he also is known as an innovative playwright who is constantly redefining the writer’s role in theatre. Co-originator with his wife, director Kathleen Weiss, and myself, of Canada’s first improvised serial plays, West End, Pendrell At Bute, and A.B.C. Romance, he pioneered a number of performance/ writing techniques which he’s incorporated into his most recent works. These include the extremely successful collective creation Sex Tips for Modern Girls and the breath-takingly visual Going Down For The Count, along with other works like More Than Two Sides, Knitequest, and Saint Mar.
