Abstract

The article examines dynamics of change in the geopolitical situation in 2020 related to COVID-19 pandemic that led to the transformations of the system of value orientations in young people in the post-COVID-19 period on Ukraine’s European integration. Humanity has entered a long period of increased unpredictable, uncontrolled situation of the virus spread that forced the EU countries to adjust areas of interaction and mutual adaptation of national economies to the prevailing conditions .In this context the problem of the attitude of the young generation ( from 15 to 30 years) to the components and standards of European integration acquires special theoretical and methodological significance. The authors of the article make an attempt at psychological analysis of aspects of the attitude of youth to the integrity of European civilization, including how value orientations of modern times affect the ontogenesis of the individual. In line with the research, a theoretical understanding of the psychological content of the concept “European integration of Ukraine” was carried out, the distinction between the concepts of values and value orientations has been made, the psychological specifics of the attitude of young people to the scientific understanding of the EU structure and core values were determined. Attractiveness of joining the EU, its advantages, achievements and difficulties were singled out. Obstacles and barriers along the way the country’s European integration, from the point of view of the growing generation, were highlighted.
