Abstract

The gyromagnetic ratio of supermalloy has been determined by measurements of the Einstein-deHaas effect. The value of 1.905\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.002 obtained for ${g}^{\ensuremath{'}}$ is equivalent to a spectroscopic splitting factor $g$ of 2.105. This is in good agreement with values obtained by ferromagnetic resonance experiments.
