Abstract
The latest analysis of U.S. economic data conducted by the Independent Sector pegs the average value of volunteer service in 2023 at $33.49 per hour, up 5.3% from the $31.8‐per‐hour estimate for the year before and the $29.95‐per‐hour estimate for 2021. According to the IS data, this is the sixth consecutive year of sizeable increases, going back to 2018 when the value jumped by 7.4% from 2017.
