Abstract
The latest analysis of U.S. economic data conducted by the Independent Sector (IS) pegs the average value of volunteer service in 2022 at $31.80 per hour, up 6.2% from the $29.95‐per‐hour estimate for the year before and the $28.54‐per‐hour estimate for 2020. According to the IS, this is the fifth consecutive year of sizeable increases, going back to 2018 when the value jumped by 74% from 2017.
