Abstract

Objective To study the value of multi-slice spiral CT (MSCT) combined with nuclear magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for wrist joint injury. Methods Twenty-eight patients with wrist injury were performed with simple MSCT, simple MRI and MSCT combined with MRI examination. According to the results, tyey were divided into MSCT group, MRI group and combined group, and the results of three groups were compared. Results The fracture and joint dislocation detection rates and the total detection rate of the combined group were significantly higher than those of MSCT group and MRI group, the differences were significant (P<0.05). The displaced fracture fragments and occult fracture detection rates of the combined group were significantly higher than those of the MRI group, the differences were significant(P<0.05). The cartilage injury and occult bone contusion fracture detection rates were significantly higher than those of the MSCT group, the differences were significant (P<0.05). Conclusions MSCT combined with MRI for wrist injury has a higher detection rate for bone, soft tissue, tendon and other injuries. It can obtain more accurate and comprehensive judgment. It has good clinical application value and is worth popularizing. Key words: Wrist joint injury; Multislice spiral CT; Magnetic resonanance imaging; Diagnosis
