Abstract

Objective To investigate the correlation between the modified test for respiratory and asthma control in kids (TRACK), Chinese version and lung function test index of children with asthma, so as to evaluate the feasibility of modified TRACK, Chinese version in monitoring the condition of children with asthma. Methods Sixty-nine bronchial asthmatic children admitted to Xinxiang Central Hospital from March 2018 to September 2018 were selected for TRACK questionnaire and tidal breathing pulmonary function test at initial diagnosis and one month after treatment. Results The Cronbach’s index of modified TRACK, Chinese version was 0.641 at initial diagnosis and 0.635 at follow-up visit, respectively. TRACK score was in consistence with the ratio of peak expiratory flow time to total expiratory time (TPTEF/TE) and ratio of volume to peak expiratory flow to tatal expiratory volume (VPEF/VE) (W=0.349, P<0.05). There were significant statistical differences in TPTEF/TE, VPEF/VE and TRACK scores among different asthma control groups (P<0.05). The scores of TPTEF/TE, VPEF/VE and TRACK at first and second visits had statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusions The modified TRACK, Chinese version has a good ability to identify asthma control level, and it is feasible to evaluate the changes of children’s bronchial asthma by modified TRACK, Chinese version. Key words: Asthma; Modified test for respiratory and asthma control in kids, Chinese version; Tidal breathing lung function test
