Abstract

Objective To explore the application value of hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) combined with weight-loss walking exercise in patients with cerebral infarction at recovery stage. Methods Ninety patients with cerebral infarction at recovery stage treated in the hospital from January 2018 to January 2019 were enrolled for study, and were randomly divided into the combined group (n=45) and the control group (n=45). Results The control group received weight-loss walking exercise, while the combined group received HBO therapy on the basis of weight-loss walking exercise. Therapeutic effect, nerve growth factor (NGF), neuron specific enolase (NSE), myelin basic protein (MBP) and neurological function (NIHSS) scores were compared between the 2 groups. The total effective rate of the combined group was 95.56% (43/45), which was higher than that of the control group (73.33%)(33/45)(P<0.05). After 4 weeks of treatment, the NGF level of the combined group was higher than that of the control group, while the NSE and MBP levels of the combined group were lower than those of the control group (P<0.05), and the NIHSS scores of the combined group were lower than those of the control group after 1 and 4 weeks of treatment (P<0.05). Conclusion HBO combined with weight-loss walking exercise could regulate the levels of neurokines, alleviate neurological damage and achieve good recovery effects in the patients with cerebral infarction at recovery stage. Key words: Hyperbaric oxygen; Weight-loss walking exercise; Cerebral infarction; Neurokine
