Abstract

Objective To investigate the values of color Doppler ultrasonography combined with two-dimensional ultrasonography in the diagnosis of scar uterus complicated by placenta previa implantation. Methods Seventy-four patients who were suspected with scar uterus complicated by placenta previa implantation were selected as objects, and the two-dimensional ultrasonography and two-dimensional ultrasound combined with color Doppler ultrasonography were both applied for tracing patients. The surgical pathology was considered as the gold standard. Results In 74 patients, 37 cases of scar uterus and placenta previa were confirmed by pathological result of operation. The sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of two-dimensional ultrasound diagnosis (67.57%, 83.78%, 75.68%, 65.79%, 86.11%) were lower than those of the two dimensional ultrasound combined with color Doppler ultrasonography (94.59%, 97.30%, 95.59%, 97.22%, 94.74%), correspondly, and the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05). Conclusions The accuracy of color Doppler ultrasonography combined with two-dimensional ultrasonography in the diagnosis of scar uterus complicated by placenta previa implantation is higher, and it can be used as the first choice for predicting the condition before operation. Key words: Scar uterus; Placenta previa implantation; Two-dimensional ultrasonography; Color Doppler ultrasonography
