However, the role of LUS in lung-protective ventilation strategy of the diagnosis and treatment in patients with pulmonary complications combined with acute respiratory distress syndrome/acute lung injury(ARDS/ALI) is still not clear. This review presents the research advances of diagnosis and therapy of pulmonary diseases as well as value of the LUS in lung-protective ventilation strategy in recent years. Through further investigation, the significance of clinical application of LUS will be confirmed. Application of LUS in the lung-protection ventilation strategy reduces the incidence of postoperative pulmonary complications and mortality and improves the prognosis of patients.
