Abstract
Value-based purchasing is the use of financial incentives to facilitate improvement in the delivery of high quality of care. The purpose of this study was to develop a rehabilitation-focused quality outcome measure: successful community discharge (SCD), defined as 30 consecutive days spent in the community after discharge from post-acute care rehabilitation.
