AbstractChemicals (MIC: 11.1 SIC: 2851 NAIC: 325510)Valspar is engaged in the business of manufacturing and distributing a portfolio of coatings, paints and related products globally. In addition, Co. manufactures and sells specialty polymers, colorants and gelcoats, as well as sells furniture protection plans. As of Oct 26 2007, Co. conducted its businesses through two operating segments. Co.'s Coatings segment includes a range of decorative and protective coatings for metal, wood, plastic and glass, primarily for sale to original equipment manufacturer customers. Co.'s Paint segment provides a portfolio of interior and exterior paints, stains, primers, varnishes, high performance floor paints and specialty decorative products.
