Abstract
The derivation of the optimum mean diameter of magnetic nanoparticles (MNP) forhyperthermia as a tumour therapy in the literature is commonly reduced to application ofthe Néel relaxation model. Serious restrictions of this model for MNP for hyperthermiaare discussed and a way is outlined to a more comprehensive model includinghysteresis.
