Abstract
The chemical ladder snake game is one of the variations in learning media in doing practice questions. This type of research is Research and Development (R and D) using the 4-D model which includes the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research is limited to the develop part of the validity test. The instrument used was a validity questionnaire given to two UNP chemistry lecturers and two chemistry teachers at SMA N 3 Padang. Data collection techniques were analysed using Aiken V formula. Data analysis showed that the level validity of the chemical ladder snake was 0,75, so it can be concluded that the chemical ladder snake developed was valid as a learning media for the acid-base material of class XI SMA or MA.

Summary
Materi asam basa pada kurikulum 2013 merupakan materi di awal semester genap kelas XI SMA/MA. Diperlukan latihan yang dilakukan secara berulangulang untuk dapat meningkatkan penguasaan siswa terhadap materi asam basa[1]. Satu diantara permainan yang dapat digunakan untuk memantapkan konsep dan menarik perhatian siswa adalah permainan ular tangga kimia. Penelitian lainnya mengungkapkan permainan ular tangga dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa sebesar 86,85% pada pembelajaran materi koloid[8]. Pada materi ikatan kimia permainan ular tangga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan skor N-gain sebesar 0,76[10]. Permainan ular tangga cocok digunakan untuk materi kimia yang lebih banyak memuat pengetahuan konseptual, seperti materi asam basa. Bersumber dari penjelasan di atas maka dikembangkan salah satu alternatif dalam mengerjakan soal latihan untuk memantapkan konsep siswa berupa permainan ular tangga kimia sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi asam basa kelas XI SMA/MA yang valid
