Abstract

Background This study was designed to validate a health-risk appraisal (HRA) model for identifying Japanese men in specialized hospitals who were at high risk for esophageal cancer on the basis of their past and present facial flushing reactions after drinking alcohol, drinking and smoking status, and intake of vegetables and fruit.
