Abstract

Conclusions: The majority of patients admitted with NSTEACS and TIMI score≤ 4 underwent inpatient angiography regardless of the use of ETT as a risk stratification tool for low to intermediate risk scores. No difference was evident in early events. http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.hlc.2012.05.135 126 Validation of Wave Intensity Analysis in the Assessment of Coronary Ischaemia O. Narayan ∗, J. Cameron, I. Meredith, D. Wong, M. Leung Monash Cardiovascular Research Centre, Department of Medicine (SCS), Monash University and MonashHEART, Southern Health, Melbourne, Australia Background: Coronary wave intensity analysis (CWI) enables separation and quantification of proximal and distal originating waves within the coronary circulation. The applicability of this technique in assessing coronary stenoses is unclear. We correlated Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR) and Coronary Flow Reserve (CFR) with the peak intensities of the backward travelling “suction” wave (Wave 5) and forward travelling “pushing” wave (Wave 2), both of which accelerate coronary flow.
