Abstract
It is difficult to predict the influence that a particular combination of processes and culture media may have on cells and tissues manipulated in vitro. Accordingly, it is important that the procedures, media and reagents used in the manipulation of cells for clinical application are specified and have been appropriately assessed for safe and reliable use. This presents an approach to the validation of cell culture media and reagents which is a vital process in the overall quality assurance that is increasingly demanded for cells and tissues used in humans.
