Abstract
An isocratic normal phase liquid chromatographic (NP‐LC) method was developed for the separation of florfenicol enantiomer in the bulk drug substance. Enantiomeric separation was achieved on a Chiralpack‐AD column (250×4.6 mm) at a constant room temperature using mobile phase combination n‐Hexane:Ethanol:Methanol (80 10 10, v/v/v) delivered at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min. Analytes were monitored at 225 nm. The method was validated for precision, limit of detection (LOD), limit of quantification (LOQ), linearity, and accuracy.
