Abstract
The goal of this video is to demonstrate a new technique to improve vaginal tissue extraction. This video demonstrates the step by step process in obtaining and removing a specimen vaginally using an endocatch bag, Alexis ring, and hand stapler. This unique process avoids the need to extend any abdominal incision, which eliminates the need for fascial closure, thus risk of future hernia formation. We use the colpotomy (or one could create a colpotomy), which provides an extended incision ideal for extraction.
