Abstract

Abstract: A 44-year-old woman with chronic renal failure presented with persistent vaginal bleeding. On examination, there was a 4-cm tumor in the vagina and a biopsy showed melanoma. There was no history of melanoma. Computed tomography of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis demonstrated a vaginal tumor with no evidence of metastatic disease. Fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography was performed for preoperative evaluation and exclusion of metastatic disease, and these images are presented.
