Abstract

A 20-year-old woman complained of vaginal bleeding and had a normal clinical and biologic assessment. Ultrasound revealed an enlarged uterus with a posterior wall tumor and hematometra (Figure 1; Supplemental Video 1). Doppler ultrasound evaluation showed poor blood flow with late vascular enhancement after contrast injection. Axial T1 magnetic resonance imaging (Figure 2) confirmed the presence of an enlarged uterus with moderate posterior uterine wall gadolinium enhancement, observed on sagittal plane from the fundus to the isthmus as hyposignal on T1 and hypersignal on T2 sequences.
