Abstract

Abstract Starting from a parametrization of quantum hadron dynamics having only linear meson coupling terms, vacuum polarization is taken into account for the relativistic description of finite superfluid and deformed nuclei in the one loop approximation. It is found, that the non-linear terms induced by the renormalization process lead to an improvement in the agreement with experimental deformation parameters.
