Summary

Introduction

Vaxjo: a web-based vaccine adjuvant database and its application for analysis of vaccine adjuvants and their uses in vaccine development by Sayers S, Ulysse G, Xiang Z, He Y. (2012). A vaccine adjuvant is a vaccine component that is used to enhance host immune responses to the antigens in the vaccine. While live attenuated vaccines without adjuvants often stimulate strong immune responses, they are difficult to be approved for human use due to potential safety concerns.
