Abstract

In their article about the acceptance of diphtheria, tetanus, and poliomyelitis (dTP) vaccination in Dutch pilgrims in preparation for the Hajj, Keles and colleagues 1 reported a low 13% vaccination coverage and a 24% acceptance rate in those individuals who were offered a booster vaccination. In our experience among French pilgrims, we also observed that self‐reported dTP vaccination (19%–23% for tetanus, 15%–16% for diphtheria and poliomyelitis) was significantly lower than those reported from studies of French population cohorts and French traveler cohorts. 2,3 French citizenship, …
