Abstract

A military veteran population with clinically complex needs appears to benefit considerably from a residential level of care for substance use disorder (SUD), a retrospective analysis has concluded. The study's encouraging findings on symptom relief and reduced risk of death should bolster the argument that residential services must be maintained as part of the continuum of SUD care.
