The steps involved during the inflatable penile prosthesis placement included: 1) mobilization of the corpus spongiosum from the corpora cavernosa; 2) placement of sutures within corpora and corporotomy; 3) measurement of corpora length; 4) placement of reservoir within space of Retzius; 5) placement of penile prosthesis cylinders within corpora cavernosa and corporrhaphy; 6) tube connections between cylinders, pump and reservoir; 7) pump placement within the scrotum; 8) closure of scrotal fascia and perineum. RESULTS Successful placement of a transobturator male sling and an inflatable penile prosthesis through a single perineal incision. CONCLUSIONS The simultaneous placement of a transobturator male sling and insertion of an inflatable penile prosthesis through a single perineal incision is technically feasible, cost-effective and improves cosmetic results in patients with urinary incontinence and erectile dysfunction. © 2012 by American Urological Association Education and Research, Inc.FiguresReferencesRelatedDetails Volume 187Issue 4SApril 2012Page: e632 Advertisement Copyright & Permissions© 2012 by American Urological Association Education and Research, Inc.MetricsAuthor Information Claudio Romero Houston, TX More articles by this author Frances Alba Houston, TX More articles by this author O.
