In this video we present an alternative recourse where reconstruction of narrowed part of ureter is achieved using rotated flap taken from dilated proximal ureter. METHODS: 36 years old healthy woman investigated for recurrent right renal colic, the imaging revealed 3 cm stricture in right mid ureter with significant pre-stenotic dilation. Right kidney appeared obstructed according to DTPA scanning. The video demonstrates all the surgical steps of laparoscopic reconstruction. RESULTS: Operative time was 4.5 hours. Patient went home on second p/o day and the stent was removed 4 weeks following surgery. After more than 4 years of follow up there is no clinical, laboratory or radiographic evidence of recurrence. CONCLUSIONS: This technique may be a valid reconstructive option for mid ureteral long strictures in selected patients.
