Abstract
Band Slippage is one of the more common major complications of laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding, possibly occurring in up to 6% of patients. Management of this complication has not been standardized. Surgical repositioning of the band by the laparoscopic approach allows alleviation of symptoms and continued weight loss. Band removal has been used to manage this complication, but will likely result in weight regain.
