Abstract

Abstract The video shows the case of a 40-year-old male patient with a recurrent umbilical hernia after a laparoscopic IPOM repair. The preoperative CT scan with Valsalva shows a M3 defect with a width of 7 cm at the lower border of the intraperitoneal mesh, associated with upper midline diastasis. We decide to address the hernia repair with a robotic e-TEP approach and a lateral docking. Despite a difficult access and dissection of the retromuscular space due to the adhesions beetwen the rectus muscle and the non-absorbable tacks, the procedure was successful and the patient was discharged the day after the surgery. No complications or recurrence were detected at the 6-month follow-up.
