Abstract

Ten radioactive tracking sessions of individual European water shrews Neomys fodiens (Pennant, 1771) were done in order to compare water shrews with terrestrial shrews, such as Crocidura russula (Hermann, 1780), and Sorex coronatus Millet, 1828. Activity patterns, space use and home range size were studied. Each tracking session lasted 24 hours and the sessions were made between April and December from 1982 to 1985
