Abstract
AbstractWe discuss here the recent developments in đ© = 8 supergravity. In particular, we propose to use the lightâcone superspace with an unconstrained chiral scalar superfield for the studies of the UV structure of the perturbative đ© = 8 supergravity. For this purpose we construct the generating functional for the lightâcone momentum space superfield amplitudes. We prove an đ© = 8 equivalence theorem for the lightâcone and covariant onâshell amplitudes. We point out an interesting relation between our lightâcone formalism and Nair' s construction and supertwistors. We also point out the importance of the nonâlinearly realized E(7,7), symmetry for these studies and argue that this symmetry may be anomalyâfree.
