The Perioperative Nursing Data Set (PNDS) is the standardized nursing language for documentation by perioperative nurses. The usage of this language is the essential framework for documentation standardization in the operating room. This article explores 2 specific patient outcomes and how the usage of the PNDS helps guide actions taken by registered nurses in the operating room.
