Abstract

AbstractIn units for the production of nitric acid and urea high‐alloyed stainless steels and special metals are subject of high corrosive stresses. The choice of material must be adapted to the individual conditions regarding temperature and concentration of the components of reaction. The influence of metallurgical means and the applicability of standardized corrosion tests are discussed.A new bimetallic tube concept is described for stripper tubes in urea plants.
