Abstract
1. Feasibility has been demonstrated for use of a spent butane-butylene cut from MEK production in the sulfuric acid alkylation of isobutane with butylenes. The spent BBC can be used as sole feedstock or in mixture with a BBC obtained in catalytic and thermal cracking units. 2. The alkylate gasoline obtained when using spent BBC as the alkylation feedstock will meet the quality requirements of specification MRTU-38-1 -96-66.
