Utilization of probability distributions for the solution of partial difference and partial differential equations

Abstract

In this communication, the author wishes to introduce three probability distributions as particular solutions to certain difference equations with a brief derivation in each case. The three new distributions are: (1) the binomial summation distribution (BSD); (2) the negative binomial distribution (NBD); (3) the negative binomial summation distribution (NBSD).
