Abstract
The study presents review of the literature of Phase Change Materials (PCM) and other cooling methods used for the improvement of conversion efficiency of Solar Photovoltaic cell. As the PV Technology is a green technology and solar irradiation is abundant on the earth surface, it is important to capture maximum amount of irradiation. But due to very poor conversion efficiency accentuated by further fall due to heating of the cell, it becomes imperative for thermal regulation of cell. The paper explains the process about the PCM Technology and the various methods of cooling PV Cell, basic principle of working and types of PCM material based on the utilization of the material.
