Abstract

This paper treats the solution to the problem of the connection of heat exchanger and heat pumps in geothermal district heating systems. A numerical solution for the theoretical Rankine heat pump cycle is presented to determine the thermodynamic process efficiency as a criterion of quality of energy flow in the process of its transformation. This allows a reduction in the losses caused by irreversibility of real processes and saves energy. The results in graphical form are used in practice for technical and economic optimization of various geothermal heating systems employing heat pumps.
