Abstract
Objective: To analyze utilization of cephalosporin antibiotics in inpatient department of Eastern Hospital of Huashan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University from 2008 to 2010.Methods: Data of the utilization of cephalosporins were collected by hospital information system,including drug names,amount,days of used and consumption sum,etc.DDDs and its order were calculated and analyzed by statistical software.Results: The number of used category,the consumption sum and DDDs of the third-generation cephalosporins were the highest of all.However,it seemed that the consumption sum of the third-generation cephalosporins was decreased in 2010.At the same time,DDDs and consumption sum of the second-generation cephalosporins were increasing.The DDDs and consumption sum of the first-generation and forth-generation cephalosporins were much lower than those of the others.Conclusion: The utilization and constitution of cephalosporin antibiotics in inpatient department of this hospital were rational.But the medicinal indication of cephalosporin antibiotics should be controlled strictly to improve the efficiency and delay drug-resistance.
