Abstract

Objective To observe the effect and feasibility of pelvic packing for rescuing the obstertrical DIC(Disseminated intravascular coagulation,DIC) patients during the emergency operation.Methods Using pelvic packing with gauze could control hemorrhage of the 8 DIC patients,who could not stop bleeding with the methods such as conventional transfixion and compression.Results The 8 patients were rescued by pelvic packing successfully without any operative complications such as rehaemorrhagia after taking out of gauze,severe infection and thrombus.Conclusion Pelvic packing isa secure and reliable way for control of hemorrhage for the DIC patients with bleeding disseminated.
