Abstract
Platelet rich-fibrin (PRF) is the ideal material for hard tissue augmentation after tooth extraction. It is based on patient’s fibrin and platelets and represents the main matrix of osteogenesis. The new A-PRF (Advanced-PRF) consists of monocytes that enrich the fibrin clot. These preparations certain growth factors and cytokines gradually released from the fibrin clot. This is the secret of osteogenesis process in PRF techniques of preserving the alveolar ridge.
