Abstract

Sleep disordered breathing (SDB) has a critical association with cardiovascular mortality and morbidity, especially in patients with heart failure (HF). However, because of the complexity to refer the polysomnography, the majority of SDB patients remain undiagnosed. On the other hand, the abnormality of heart rate variability has been reported in patients with SDB. To explore an efficient ECG-based screening tool for SDB, we examined the usefulness of cyclic variation of heart rate score (CVHRS) by Holter ECG in HF patients.
