Abstract
eProcurement systems are web-based software applications that offer a method for organisations to govern spend by implementing contracting and procurement best practices. eProcurement tools provide a method for adding visibility across the entire progression of contracting and procurement transactions. The intent for the electronic system is to provide complete insight into the cashflow and financial commitments for an organisation.1 The eProcurement systems support the centralisation of the procurement department by setting up an organisation for providing shared services. Once an organisation invests in an eProcurement system, there are transitional considerations to drive effective business practices for the development of the guided organisational spend.
