Abstract

Research results of mechanically-dehydrated sewage sludge utilisation in cement kiln are presented. The fuel mix was obtained by mixing sewage sludge with fuel oil and waste oil. Non-ionic surfactants Rokafenol N8 and Rokacet S7 were used as emulsifier. Technical tests of utilisation of sewage sludge (supplied to a cement kiln with clinker slurry) and combustion of its mixtures with fuel oil were run at the Rejowiec Cement Works. It was found that the utilisation of sewage sludge in cement kilns does not cause any excess harassment to the environment.
