Abstract
Use of liquid crystals as stationary phases in gas—liquid chromatography. II. Theoretical aspect The propagation of a plug of solute has been simulated in a gas chromatographic column containing a liquid crystal as stationary phase for various types of distribution isotherms. The experimental and simulated peak profiles are compared and the usefulness of such a chromatographic method for the phase diagram study of these systems is discussed.
