Abstract

Education of love and respect for their national language is an important condition for preserving the cultural identity of the Ust-Tsilma Old Believers, and it is also a necessary factor in the partnership of civilizations. The problem of preserving the traditional folk dialect in modern conditions is felt especially acutely. After all, language is the most important marker of culture, a means of its translation and preservation, and the key to its understanding. Therefore, a crucial condition for preserving the cultural identity of ethnic communities is the education of love and respect for their national language. The article deals with the issue of preserving the traditional folk dialect of the Lower Pechora. The results of a survey, the purpose of which was to determine the stability and breadth of the preservation of the Lower Pechora dialect in the speech of modern Ust-Tsilma Old Believers, are presented.
